Recap: Flag Day Services

June 14, 2015:  Our Legion recently helped honor our country's flag at ceremonies in Palmer Park in Donora and Chess Park in Monongahela.

Our members meet on a monthly basis on the second Friday of each month at 7:00pm. Our meetings take place at VFW# 1409, 793 E. Main St, Monongahela, PA 15063 Dues are $35.00 a year.

Upcoming Events

2024

November

9 November 2024 - Veterans Day Regional Parade wll be hosted by Charleroi - Staging will be in the old high school stadium parking lot. Line up will begin at 1200 hrs. Step off is at 1300 hrs.

10 November, 2024, PA Legion 25th District meeting @ Marianna Post 744 (Sub District 4 Installation of Officers) Start time 1330 hrs. Review of activities and programs relative to the District along with committee reports and deadlines.

11 November 2024 - Veterans Day Ceremony - Chess Veterans Memorial Park, 7th St & W Main St, Monongahela, PA. Rally time is 1030 hrs. Start time is 1100 hrs.

16 November 2024 - Retrieving of Flags - Monongahela Cemetery, 800 Country Club Rd, Monongahela, PA 15063. Gather to retrieve the 5000 flags placed on veteran's graves. Start time 0900 hrs. Rain date of 23rd of November in case of inclement weather.

December

8 December, 2024 PA Legion 25th District meeting @ TBD Start time 1330 hrs. Review of activities and programs relative to the District along with committee reports and deadlines.

13 December 2024 - Legion Meeting - Black Diamond VFW#1409, 793 East Main St, Monongahela, PA. Start time 1900 hrs. Updates on past and future events, community activities, news and support of veteran events and legion activities.

13 December 2024 - Monongahela Veterans Council Meeting - Black Diamond VFW 1409, 793 East Main St, Monongahela PA. Start time 1900 hrs. We will be discussing the upcoming events and activities scheduled for this year.
